Sarum Swords was established in 2013 to give young people in Salisbury the opportunity to discover and enjoy the Olympic sport of fencing.

We welcome children from the age of eight, providing a safe, supportive and enjoyable environment in which they can learn, develop and grow in confidence. Our younger fencers take part in structured sessions combining games, mobility exercises and blade skills, building the foundations, habits and enthusiasm they need to progress as fencers.

From first lesson to international competition, we believe that every young fencer deserves the opportunity to see how far they can go.

As our club has grown, so has our competitive ambition. Sarum Swords now welcomes experienced competitive adult fencers and has developed into one of the strongest foil clubs in the Southern Region. We cater for young fencers of all abilities, from complete beginners to elite athletes, and particularly welcome hardworking, driven people who want to enjoy their fencing while challenging themselves to discover what they can achieve.
